Good evening. This is the personal website of a certain Jan-Willem van der Sijp, a third year Computer Science student at the University of York, in England. He makes websites, plays games, and sits around on his arse all day. He has wonderful friends, a doubly wonderful girlfriend, and has been assured that he has green eyes.

This is the beach at Bridlington, directly east of York. The weather was beautiful, and the beach almost empty. I don't know who the man in this shot it is, but I am grateful to him for being there. He completes a perfect image.

Very nice photo (as always), though what’s that large concrete thing, a breakwater? I can’t seem to see what it’s meant to be.

Your guess is as good as mine. Whatever it used to be it’s pretty battered now - there was concrete all over the beach.
